CHRIS COOK

CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

Christopher Cook brings an extraordinary passion to provide a reprieve, hope, and healing to those individuals and families who continue to suffer from the trials of alcoholism and drug addiction.  He worked his way up and continues to follow his dream and vision of Reprieve Recovery Center.  Chris believes in developing a strong therapeutic alliance between the therapist and client, as well as treating addiction as a family disease. He is active in the recovery family including speaking engagements, leading big book studies, sponsorship, and meetings.

 

Chris is active in sports within his community including basketball and soccer. He is the proud father of two dogs; one rescue pit and an Australian shepherd. He is especially close with his sister.


 

JESSICA COOK

Jessica is extremely passionate about helping others successfully overcome their addictions and embark on their individual paths of long-term recovery. This passion was sparked by her own recovery journey as well as the journeys of her close friends and family. Reprieve Recovery Center, founded by Jessica and Christopher, places the well-being of clients first in order to positively impact the local recovery community -- one client at a time. Jessica’s guiding principle has always been to provide the utmost client-centered addiction treatment center with special emphasis on addressing each client’s unique mind, body, and spirit. Jessica personally brings empathy, care, concern, and hope to all clients as they inspirationally grow, improve, and succeed in their lives. Jessica has a reputation for changing the way addiction treatment is provided and equipping clients with necessary skills to succeed.  Each and every day she is witnessed to be inspiring, leading, and overseeing staff to ensure that the most effective intensive outpatient and outpatient services occur for clients. The client success and reputation of Reprieve Recovery Center speaks for itself.

 

Jessica is the oldest of four sisters and strives to be a supportive role model to them. She enjoys physical fitness, fishing, snowmobiling, traveling, and engaging in motorized sports. Jessica is a dog mom of two and loving wife of Christopher when she is not using her energy towards Reprieve.


 

ALEX COOK

DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS

Alex brings a diverse background which includes many years in the Recovery Industry. Her strengths are operations, organization, and leadership; however, her most valuable asset is her willingness to get involved and help. During your treatment at Reprieve Recovery Center, you will see a ‘hands on’ Alex, ‘out and about’ with her contagious smile and bubbly personality, working diligently to ensure that your stay is a positive one.

 

Alex is a “hippie” at heart. She is active in her recovery community and strives to help women every day always available at all times for those in need. She is very close to her brother.


 

CHARLES RAELE, MD

MEDICAL DIRECTOR

Charles A. Raele, MD serves as the medical director at Reprieve Recovery Center. He supervises all medical staff and works closely with the clinical department to ensure the best possible care is provided according to local, state, and federal standards. Dr. Raele has over fifteen years of extensive experience working with diverse clientele, who present with both substance use disorder and mental health conditions. He is well-versed in the recovery model, strengths-based approach, dual-diagnosis treatment, the importance of community involvement, and effective psychopharmacology intervention(s) as it pertains to each unique individual client. At Reprieve, he personally assesses and stabilizes even the most complex cases with his psychiatric expertise.  Dr. Raele earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Barry University and his Doctor of Medicine from Saint Louis University School of Medicine. He completed an internship in general surgery at Rush University Medical Center and his psychiatry residency program at Duke University Hospital.

 

When Dr. Raele is not at Reprieve, he enjoys seeing patients at his outpatient practice in Boynton Beach and spending time with his wife and two children.


 

LAUREN TYNES, LCSW

CLINICAL DIRECTOR

Lauren graduated from Florida Atlantic University with a Bachelor’s of Social Work and a Master of Social Work. She is an active Licensed Clinical Social Worker through the Florida Department of Health. Lauren has many years of experience overseeing and participating within interdisciplinary teams to ensure the highest quality and continuity of individualized client-centered care. She has worked in addiction treatment facilities and federal government agencies servicing the mental health, substance abuse, and veteran populations. As a firm believer in truth, she is often times telling clients what they need to hear in order to recover. Lauren is passionate about helping clients daily and will continue to ensure the highest possible quality of care with an overall focus on the health, well-being, and growth of our clients.

 

Since early childhood, Lauren has experienced a passion for helping people. When she is not at work, she enjoys spending time with her friends, family, and two dogs.


 

GLEN COGNAC, LCSW

PRIMARY THERAPIST

Glen graduated with a bachelor’s degree in psychology from University of South Florida. During his undergraduate studies, Glen focused on neuroscience and researched the effects of drugs on the brain. Glen earned his Master of Social Work degree from Florida Atlantic University. Glen comes to Reprieve with over 10 years of experience providing therapy for clients struggling with mental health and addiction. Glen has worked in numerous settings ranging from prison, drug court, inpatient treatment, and outpatient dual diagnosis treatment centers. Glen believes that if one can get to the root of their addiction, find a purpose in their life and feel positively fulfilled, then the addiction(s) can be beaten. He enjoys helping those who struggle and seeing the positive transformation within their lives.

 

When he is not working - Glen likes to spend time with his wife, nieces, and nephews. Glen loves to swim or float and he has a passion for football. On Sundays, you can find him in front of large televisions.


 

EMILY SCOTT, LMHC

PRIMARY THERAPIST

Emily graduated with a Master of Science and an Education Specialist Degree in Mental Health Counseling from Florida State University.  She has experience working with a variety of populations within addiction treatment providers, eating disorder treatment centers, and in the prison system.  Emily is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who utilizes a person-centered approach to counseling with modalities of cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and solution focused therapy.  She strives to empower her clients to set personalized goals that improve overall quality of life while maintaining sobriety.  She believes acceptance and awareness are at the core of making necessary change and she focuses on education so that clients can continue to grow and heal outside of a treatment setting.

 

Outside of work she enjoys spending quality time with family, reading, playing with her dog, and anything artistic.


 

CHANTÉ GORDON, MA

PRIMARY THERAPIST

Chanté graduated from Trinity International University with a bachelor’s degree in Christian Ministry and a Master of Arts degree in Mental Health Counseling. She has experience providing individual and group therapy to clients struggling with addiction and mental health. Chanté is a registered mental health counseling intern through the Florida Department of Health and is well-versed in cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, and person-centered therapy. She believes that most clients have the answers within, however, they require therapy in order to become the best versions of themselves.  Chanté strives to create a safe place where clients can be their authentic selves through her use of honesty, integrity, respect, and support.

 

Chanté enjoys going to the beach, reading, and spending time at local coffee shops when she is not working.


 

DANIEL WARREN

DIRECTOR OF BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

Daniel received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Virginia. He began experimenting with drugs during college. After using for a few years, he finally made the decision to attend a treatment center in South Florida. He detoxed and was admitted into Reprieve Recovery Center for aftercare. During his time at Reprieve Recovery Center, he built a foundation for long-term sobriety. With the help of the staff, God, and the Twelve Steps of AA, he was able to regain control of his life. He worked in marketing for a year until he had the opportunity to give back to the place where he began his recovery journey. Ever since his childhood, he has had an affinity to help others, starting with volunteering for his mother's non-profit Therapeutic Horseback Riding Center. He's a great addition to the team due to his ability to cultivate relationships with community resources.

 

In his spare time, Daniel enjoys playing sports, spending time outdoors, and playing music.


 

NICK NEWCITY

OUTREACH COORDINATOR

Nick is a great asset to Reprieve’s alumni program. He struggled with addiction for many years until he admitted his powerlessness and sought out treatment in South Florida. Nick is a successful alumni of Reprieve where he learned how to become a productive member of society. By virtue of the Twelve Steps and God, Nick is now able to give back what was so freely given to him and help others who are struggling with addiction and mental health. Nick brings an enthusiasm to the team and is a living example for the clients that sobriety is possible and recovery can be fun.

 

Nick enjoys spending time being a son to his mother and a brother to his sister through the miracle of recovery. He continues to attend meetings and share his story with suffering addicts. Nick also enjoys spending time with his family, cooking, and playing video games in his leisure time.


 

ANITA CONDON

INTAKE & MEDICAL
COORDINATOR

Anita attended Tidewater Community College where she completed coursework in science. She earned her certificate as a nursing care partner and was employed thereafter at a heart hospital in Virginia. When working in the hospital, Anita felt as though she was putting on a band aid and then discharging patients; only for them to return again. Their addiction problem was never addressed and she developed a strong desire to provide long-term treatment to those with medical issues and substance use disorder. Anita made a decision a few years ago to work within addiction treatment facilities. Anita joined Reprieve well-versed in medical terminology, client-centered care, and addiction recovery. Anita takes a caring and supportive approach to helping each client. Anita performs intakes and speaks with clients weekly to ensure that any psychiatric or medical needs are evaluated by in-house medical staff.

 

In her spare time, Anita enjoys helping other women within the local community and expanding her spirituality holistically.


 

ERIN WISE

CASE MANAGER

Erin is employed as Reprieve’s Case Manager. She exhibits dedication to assisting all clients in reaching their goals. She maintains regular communication with clients' attorneys, families, government assistance providers, and medical professionals. In addition, she collaborates with Reprieve’s treatment team to ensure clients' needs are met. Utilizing a personalized approach, she conducts assessments and develops tailored plans to help alleviate the devastation caused by each client’s alcoholism and/or drug addiction. Drawing on her extensive customer service experience of nearly a decade, Erin brings a compassionate and supportive demeanor to her work, empowering clients to overcome their challenges with guidance and understanding.

 

Outside of work, Erin enjoys making memories with her family, attending concerts, and watching horror movies.
