The son of Christian rap artist TobyMac died from an accidental overdose of fentanyl and amphetamines in October according to an NBC news article by Scott Stump on January 22, 2020. Truett Foster McKeehan, 21, died as a result of an accidental overdose. Davidson County Medical Examiner Feng Li conducted the autopsy and his report lists the cause of death as “acute combined drug intoxication.” In addition to fentanyl and amphetamines, Truett had adderall, marijuana, and nitrous oxide (also known as laughing gas) in his system. according to a report by The Tennessean. The report by Davidson County Medical Examiner Feng Li also stated that McKeehan had a history of drug and alcohol abuse. TobyMac released the emotional song "21 Years" earlier this month about his son's death, which refers to McKeehan's past struggles.
